Wit & Whimsy: Volume II ~ by Shiny Garden Press
My second published story found a home in the 2019 anthology for a local Denver convention Whimsy.com by Shiny Garden.
Not only was I fortunate enough to have my story selected, but this was my first official sale. The whole thing was really exciting and a nice acknowledgement. I may have jumped up and down a bit when I got the acceptance letter 😉
My story, I Carry Your Heart, is about a young girl who, after the death of her father has her heart removed by her Mother. Without a heart though, she doesn’t feel bad about what she does to get it back.

Interestingly, this is the story I developed at David Farland’s writing workshop I took last year in Provo. So yeah, his classes are that good.
I’ve read the other stories in this anthology, and let me tell you, this a good mix of great stories.
The premise of Carolyn Kay’s story, A Bohemian Commune Inspection, is beyond cute, and one of my favorite stories of the anthology.
My critique group friend, Tommy Phillips, had his first publication with his story, A Fight Worth Fighting – a Sci-Fi adventure with soldiers and a bang-up ending.
And the anthology finishes strong with, The Loimaa Protocal, by Robert Bagnall. A mind-bending, time-warping, fantastic story. So well done!

One of my friends enjoying my story with a glass of wine ~ the best way! ♥
